TERRORISM CLOSE TO HOME

I am sure you have all heard about the terrorist attack that was thwarted in Rockford, Illinois.  I don't just live in Illinois but a hop, skip and jump from Rockford.  I  live 25 minutes from the mall this psycho terrorist planned to attack.

When this story broke here in the Chicago area (days before the MSM picked it up), I was not shocked.  Living in the outskirts of a major city like Chicago, we are all aware of the risks, and are cognizant of the possibilities.  I am grateful that the "Patriot Act" was in place.  If it had not, God only knows what would have happened.

To those of you who think you're safe just because you don't live in a big city, think again.  To those  of us who get it and the effectiveness of the Patriot Act, well….what can I say…..this more evidence as to how much we need our community, local, Sate and Federal authorities watching.

Here is my guess…the ACLU will be on this like flies on shit because their phones were tapped, they were being watched….somehow, this fuck's civil rights were violated.  Guess what?  I will do everything within my power to counter these jerks.

God bless the USA and our current policies.  It should scare the hell out of every American that this is threatened.  Not just by the ACLU, and it's usual supporters, but by the newly run democratic congress and house.

Hang on….it's going to be a bumpy ride.  I just hope we all walk away with our lives.

Unfortunately, I think that these types of incidents are going to increase, not decrease. Sooner or later, one of these misguided domestic terrorist wannabes are going to get through and cause some serious damage.

I live about 1.5 hours from Rockford (to the North, I'm in WI) and that's too close to home for me!!

Scary stuff!

That is scary, especially if it's a mall you shop at often. You're right; any one of us could get killed just going shopping. I live way out in the country, but I do make trips to shopping malls, and I've often thought about the danger, even before this idiot was caught.

And it's going to get worse; we can count on it.
