Since Thurs., 3/29/07 episode of The View, I have begun a boycott of ABC and The View in my house and I'm encouraging all my friends to do the same. Dump Rosie, she should not be allowed to use a tv show to spew her vitriol daily into households across America. Unfortunately there are some viewers who are not that informed and may be convinced by Rosie and Joy if they listen to them every day.

I just found this site and the first thing I notice is that your have a "troll in residence" who goes by the name of "drwho." First thing people like drwho fail to realize is that President Bush can fire any US Attorney at any time since they serve at the pleasure of the President. Bush could have canned them all (just as President Clinton did) when he took office, but he chose not to. I am retired from the military. I was in Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1979 and 1984. The place was a dump even back then. The facility has been ignored by every administration since Nixon, so don't try to put this one on the Bush administration. A Chicken Little sissy such as you doesn't possess the testosterone necessary to be a soldier. Construction on a new facility should have started years ago. WRAMC is scheduled to close and we should not waste a lot of money on maintaining it. Our military needs a new facility now and if Congress cared about it as much as they claim, they’d have appropriated the money and got the ball rolling. Instead, our new Democratic Congress, the one that promised to end “pork,” has managed to put $20,000,000,000.00 worth the stuff into out latest war funding bill. At the same time, they’re eliminating funding for what office that monitors Congressional pork. What a bunch of hypocrites.

I would like to add that I too enjoyed The View in the past. Today it comes off as a battle to speak among each host. I too was a devoted ABC viewer. Steppinoplace as a news reporter did it for me. I would like to the View's sponsors or a source were to find them short of watching a program.

I'm a stay-at-home mom. I don't know where you get your statistics from but I believe that if you don't care for The View, Fox channel is one click away. That's the American way.

As a military spouse I can't believe that they show the "view" on AFN (armed forces network) Just the sound of Rosie's voice gets on my nerves. I swear her and her ilk would love nothing more than to put a target on my husband's back while he's deployed in Iraq. I would just like to comment on your post about The View on ABC. I am offended by your comment that most stay-at-home moms are "living in a traditional home and believe in conservative values". I am a stay-at-home mom, I live in a "traditional home", I am a very active, Jesus-loving Christian, and yet, I do not consider myself conservative. I suppose the commandment, "love your neighbor as yourself" is too important for me to agree with many of the current political agendas. I do agree that Elisabeth doesn't always get a fair chance to voice her opinion, but when she does, she really holds her own. No matter who I agree with, I appreciate the fresh debates they take on. I found this web site today after turning off The View after being thoroughly fed up with hearing Rosie slam President Bush. I am a 64 year old retiree, and unlike you, thoroughly enjoy "The View" as a backdrop for my morning when I am at home. Since Meredith's departure, or more accurately, since Rosie's arrival, The View has become an interesting and extremely topical and relevant program worthy of my sit down attention. At last, there is a morning program with an assemblage comprised predominantly of women, that offers topics of discussion relevant to the intelligence of its audience. I applaud Elisabeth and Rosie, and of course, Barbara and Joy for voicing their convictions in an arena of respect; with courage, knowledge, perception and humor. In my opinion, the women of 'The View' are positive role models for women of all ages. I hope Rosie's replacement will be as equally effective.

As one of few men who watches the view, I gotta ask…did you ever think of changing the channel or turning off the tv? I'm not a huge fan of Rosie but she "tells it like it is". I am not a stay at home mom but I watch the View very now and then at work. I can't stand to here Rosie talk. She makes me sick. I am a conservative republican from the south and my views don't jive with Rosie's. There was an email that someone sent you and they said that they were a conservative liberal, what the heck is that??? There is not such thing. Elisabeth in not dumb. I agree with her views and I like to listen to her. The show will go on without Rosie.

As much as you folks who believe The View was created for a political platform are sadly mistaken. According to Barbara Walters herself, it was a program created to briefly discuss some topics and move on to light-hearted interviews, homemaking, cooking, fashion, raising children, etc. It was never meant to be a program for the any politics. Barbara is above that B.S. If you ever paid close attention, you'd know this. I just found this site today. I am amazed at the majority of people who do not know what is really happening the the world today. I guess your parents and teachers did not do a good job during your history lessons. Iraq is the home of civilization and much more. However, since The Prophet Mohammad made known his "religion" it seems that country cannot get past the third century. Yes it is their right, however every person in the world have rights we are born with (history lesson and a religious one). My friend told me about this pathetic site. I had to see it for myself. EH is the most naive person to ever get on TV. I quit watching the view when she came on because she just goes on and on with absolutely nothing to say. She has this high pitched voice and talks over anybody who is speaking at the time. She constantly interrupts people. When Rosie was brought on I started to watch again and can only put the TV on mute when EH speaks. She may be educated but I think she didn't pay attention when they were teaching. When my 30 year old daughter walked into my home this afternoon, she was really hyped-up over THE VIEW. Apparently, Rosie and Elisabeth were at it again this morning and she hasn't ever seen their behavior. So….I sat here and watched what I missed on the internet. Ok, we're both, more or less, on the liberal side but I am totally amazed at both of them. I just find it hard to watch THE VIEW anymore. The cross talking is more than I can stand. Maybe I'm just getting too old (55?) to deal with it anymore. I, too, hate this war but when we start verbally ripping each other apart for…I don't know… ratings?, I don't find it entertaining. Sitting through my teens and early 20's, watching the Viet Nam war coverage every night, I know there are things we can do to protest and make our feelings known but watching these 2 women screeching at each other is pointless. Most of us are not in the public eye everyday and are just trying to figure out how to pay for taxes, gasoline and medical insurance. People, we've been through all of this before…let's stop cutting each other's throats and work together. Self destruction is not a good thing. One more question to ponder…how do we oppose the war yet support our troops? Bring them home….now.

I have been reading all of the comments that keep flowing in on this post. I had no idea that my two posts, of which hundreds of military folks read, would gain such attention. Then again, I forget what it's like dealing with the liberal lefti extremists. Just as Elisbeth Hasselbeck, I know for certain, did not anticipate the reaction she gained from her responses to RO. Read the following…After the heated fued between Elizabeth Hasselback and Rosie O'Donnell on ABC's The View last week, Alicia Silverstone blatantly snubbed Elizabeth. Walking right past her and greeting the other 3 hosts and ignoring her throughout the interview, Alicia made her point very clear. The Hollywood Vegan, Silverstone, agrees with O'Donnell on issues with the war and our American troops. O'Donnell's quote, "650,000 innocent civilians have been killed. Who are the terrorists?" led to this fued. Hasselback stands up for the current administration on a daily basis, while admitting mistakes have been made, making her one of the few in the media with any common sense.
Support our government and our troops by boycotting any movies starring/produced by Alicia Silverstone. Send a message that America doesn't agree with O'Donnell or Silverstone!

There are alot of comments on this website, alot of which I agree with ALOT I don't thats the luxury of living here in the great USA. The View is or was my favorite am shows , you see I stay at home with my 2 grandsons ( I am 48) while their parents are Drill Instructors here on the east coast. This the pretty much the first time my whole adult life I would be home or rather not working but it really does take a village to raise children and because I can I feel it my privalige to help. As for the View I have to say I truly liked the show and to be honest didn't think I would like Rosie O. when she was brought on and to one more step I have never liked Elisabeth, but in fact Rosie said alot of things that I felt and even though Elisabeth (whom I still don't like) often would show her front teeth and I felt was wrong made me see things in a more open way. I will miss Rosie on the show and when she would spar with E. it made me alittle unconfortable it wasn't more than we were thinking I'm sure..someone said it earlier this is a "free" world or at least country we are all entitled.

I am glad it's finally over w/Rosie to be kicked off the "View". I don't know what Barbara saw in her!! What happened w/Bill the "View Master" haven't seen him in the audience for a long time? That being 35 stars that represent the 35 states, and 13 stripes that represented the 13 colonies. The confederate flag represents 13 stars and writing upon it that the particular regiments fought. I have boycotted The View ever since Rosie took her chair. And I have emailed Elizabeth to support her on her stand. I am so sick of the media's one-sided approach that I am considering boycotting TV, newspapers and NPR as well!

I am a stay at home mother who USED to watch The View when it wasn't pure fluff. I'd watch the "Hot Topics" then turn it off. Any stay at home mom who turns on the tv for "background noise" and doesn't want their bubble of an existance to burst by being exposed to some controversy that has to do with a war our country is in… is really wasting their time.
